As I mentioned in a previous blog post about my 'Try Before You Buy' photo session, winter is the time of year when I do quite a few of these at weekends. In fact, I have done at least one every weekend since the start of the year! I don't upload the photos from every meet-up like I used to do but every now and then I'll stick a few up here so you can see how they look through the seasons.
I really enjoy doing these meet-ups because it gives me a chance to get to know the couple a little bit before their wedding. I spoke to a videographer a while ago at a wedding and they said, and quite rightly, the photographer is person/supplier (don't really like that word but it's hard to find an alternative) who the couple spend the most time with on their day; apart from their guests.
It's true. I spend a few hours with the bride in the morning, I'm one fo the first people to talk to you after your ceremony for the signing of the register, direct everyone during the group photos, go for a walk with you to photograph your portraits, and then spend most of my night on the dance floor! This is the reason why I think it's really important to build a relationship with each couple before the wedding, otherwise you have got a complete stranger with you at your wedding.
Most of my meetings have been over at Mote Park in Maidstone during winter as it's pretty central to Kent so it's easy for most people to get to, but I have also been to my regular spots in and around Canterbury.
Have a look through these photos below so you can get and idea of what your are likely to receive and have a read of my previous blog post so you know how the meet-up works. If you are interested, get in contact and we can arrange a meeting soon.
