ABOUT

Hi there! I'm Chris and I am a full-time Kent wedding photographer living in the village of Chartham, just outside Canterbury with my wife and very excited toddler.

I cover weddings in all areas of Kent including Canterbury, Ashford, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Medway. I photograph about 40 weddings a year, most of them during the busy summer months.

My approach to wedding photography covers a broad range of styles: from natural documentary to the more traditional group and couple portrait shots. My aim is to capture your day in a completely unobtrusive and almost invisible way, blending in with guests to truly capture those natural moments.

Having your photo taken can often be a bit like hearing your voice recorded. Suddenly all you can think about is "how does my face look, do I always stand like this and what on earth do I do with my hands?!" That's where I step in and do all of the work without you even realising it has happened.

Kent Wedding Photography Service

I am one of the most easy-going and friendly photographers out there (not my words just so you know) and I am not the type that will get you posing with one foot on a rock looking into the distance whilst you to contemplate life. For the couple portrait session, it's very informal! It's more like a good chat with some photos along the way so you end up with very natural photos that you will look back on and smile at.

I don't get all fancy (calling the prices page "investment"?!) and protective about my art or tell your DJ what light I need for your first dance, it is your day and I will work with what I have available. I come very prepared to every wedding as from experience, you can never 100% say what will happen. Have a look at my equipment list to see what I take to weddings.

One of the most annoying things that my wife and I found whilst planning our wedding was getting a price from a supplier. Because of this, you will find clear prices so that you don't have to wait for an email to come back and find it's way over budget. Head over to my prices page to find a package that suits you, however, if you do want something slightly different, let me know and I will email you.

Without doubt the most popular enquiry I get is for the 'Try Before You Buy' photos. This really is free and you are not committed to booking me until you have seen the photos I send over a few days later. If you are interested and would like to find out a bit more about this, all the information you need is here.

After you've partied the night away and laughed through all the photos your friends post online (my friend ripped his trousers down the middle at our wedding!) you can expect to receive your photos on a USB about 2 weeks later and get a link to your entire photos on a private online gallery. You have the licence to print and share your photos as many times as you wish, so you can finally get that cushion with your face printed on it!

Unlike most photographers, I upload about 200 photos from each wedding into my online gallery. This way you can get a real idea of what you are like to receive from me rather than just seeing a handful specially chosen photos to go on a website. Head over to my photos page to search for a wedding or just have a look through..

I often get asked why I do wedding photography and every time I say the same thing. It's fun! Who doesn't like a good wedding? I am also hugely aware that I am capturing one of the most special moments of peoples' lives and it's honestly an honour and privilege to do so.

So, if you are looking for an easy-going, relaxed and down-to-earth person at your wedding, who also can take photos, get in contact and we can meet up for a free photo session or just a coffee...and cake!
